Volunteer at the Memphis Classic
We’re looking for assistance in the following areas:
Ball Persons -Provides essential on-court support to players, umpires, and event staff. The main responsibility is retrieving and managing tennis balls while they are out of play.
Credentials - Manages access control for the tournament, ensuring that players, staff, media, sponsors, vendors, and volunteers receive the appropriate accreditation for designated areas. This role supports event security, operational integrity, and a seamless on-site experience.
Guest Services - Central resource for patrons with event questions, directions, schedules, and lost-and-found support.
Hotel Hospitality - Supports guest-facing venue operations, including wayfinding, seat guidance, and fan experience support.
Operations - Assists the Operations Director and Volunteer Leader with key on-court and off-court logistics before, during, and after the tournament.
Ticketing - Acts as first point of interaction for fans and guests entering the Memphis Classic site. This role requires technology use and strong communication.
Transportation - Provides the first and last in-person experience for players, guests, and tournament staff as they arrive and depart Memphis.
Ushers - Serves as gate directors in the main stadium and outer courts by checking tickets, directing patrons, and supporting tennis etiquette.
Volunteer Services - Serves as the central hub for all tournament volunteers. This group ensures volunteers are welcomed, supported, and equipped with the information and resources needed to succeed throughout the event.

Ball Persons have a minimum age requirement of 12 years of age or older -
We are looking for dedicated and organized individuals to step up as Volunteer Leader for each volunteer category. This is a vital role that helps ensure our volunteer teams run smoothly and efficiently from start to finish.
As a Volunteer Area Leader, you will serve as the main point of contact for your assigned volunteer group, responsible for:
Area Proficiency – Having a strong understanding of your assigned volunteer area and serving as the subject matter expert for your team
Team Scheduling – Managing shifts and ensuring proper coverage
Communication – Answering volunteer questions and relaying key information
Uniform Distribution – Ensuring every team member is properly outfitted
In-Event Support – Providing hands-on guidance and problem-solving during the event
Team Morale – Keeping your team informed, motivated, and set up for success
